Not later than December 12, all buildings in Serbia must have managers

In neighboring Serbia, the new Housing Act has introduced numerous changes in the sphere of building facility management. Various challenges that have been encountered in the past, such as: construction works, apartment rental, costs, noise, will be covered by new practices and will go through changes.

What steps out as an important novelty in this field is the ubiquitous registration process of housing units, as well as the obligation of building manager selection. The deadline for this is December 12th.

Many local portals, including Blic, Telegraf and Kurir, stated that: ” in Serbia, about 3,600 housing units have been registered so far . It was also pointed out that, after ignoring the obligation of the election of the manager, there will come to the compulsory selection.

Not matter how mandatory this sounds, it still does not imply that the strict measure will come into effect immediately. The inspection will first check the conditions in the buildings and determine the further steps.

These events in the environment undoubtedly testify about the expansion of international best practices in the area of proper residential management.
